Work & Deliverables
We need a lawyer to review an employment separation agreement. This separation marks a pivotal transition for Kid in the Corner as we realign roles to meet our growing organizational needs. While difficult, this change allows us to better support our mission and ensure long-term sustainability. This employee has been part of our journey, and we are committed to honoring that with compassion and integrity. We seek legal guidance to ensure this transition is handled with fairness and care—for her and for the organization—as we continue our critical work supporting youth mental health and shattering the stigma that surrounds it. Your support means everything.

Kid in the Corner
Our organization was started by Francine Sumner after losing her son Zach to suicide. Unfortunately, due to the stigma attached to mental health, nobody, including his closest friends, siblings or parents knew that Zach was struggling with his mental health. Zach himself did not understand what was happening until he was in crisis. Our mission at Kid in the Corner is to shatter the stigma that surrounds Mental illness, and we do this by educating and spreading awareness, promoting contagious kindness, and connecting the community that supports youth to the wonderful resources we have here in Arizona. At Kid In The Corner, we go into any schools that will invite us to discuss mental health and the importance of shattering the stigma that surrounds it, often the greatest barrier to getting help. We teach students the tools, skills, languages and resources they need to reach out to those struggling, take care of their own mental health, and what to do if someone approaches them saying they are feeling helpless, hopeless, or want to take their lives.
