Election Official Legal Defense Network (EOLDN) is a project designed to provide election officials with pro bono legal help in response to the increasing wave in harassments, threats, and state laws subjecting them to criminal penalties for performing their jobs.

EOLDN has received a request for legal assistance from an election official in North Carolina.

The election official is reporting discrimination due to political affiliation and attempts to undermine their official job duties.

We are looking for an attorney interested in offering guidance and speaking with the election official. If interested, we will provide additional request details.

They also face an increasing wave of state laws subjecting them to criminal penalties for performing their professional duties. The Election Official Legal Defense Network (EOLDN) matches these election officials with qualified pro bono attorneys who can offer legal guidance and protections. EOLDN is a project of the nonpartisan, nonprofit Center for Election Innovation & Research.
