Assistance with Guardianship Agreement
Help father in Mexico arrange guardianship for his son

We are looking for a California-licensed attorney to draft a temporary guardianship agreement for a single father in Mexico who would like to send his U.S. citizen child, a minor, to live with a family member in the United States where the child will have access to a U.S. education and other opportunities available to American children. Due to the punitive nature of U.S. immigration laws, the father will not be able to go with his son.
Preparation Phase
- Schedule background call with supervising attorney
Collaboration Phase
- Schedule call between volunteer and client
- Draft guardianship agreement
Wrap Up
- Go over document and explain terms for modification/termination to client
- Confer with supervising attorney to confirm work is complete and to transfer files or information
